Welcome to the Firefox Private Network Beta

Thanks for participating in this limited-time, free beta of Firefox Private Network. Firefox Private Network lets you use public Wi-Fi more safely and securely. It does this by encrypting the web addresses you visit. This helps protect your web browsing from hackers, websites, and trackers.

Your privacy

Firefox cares about your privacy. Firefox Private Network doesn’t collect information about your browsing. We do collect generic information about how you use the extension, such as data about how you interact with it, when you turn it off, and technical information about how it functions. Our privacy policy describes how we handle this data. You may opt out of sharing this data with us at any time.

Using Private Network

Look for the Private Network icon in your Firefox toolbar.

Private Network icon

Select the icon and you’ll be asked to sign in with a Firefox account. If you don’t already have a Firefox account, you can also create one by clicking on Sign In.

Once you’re signed in, you’ll see a green check on the Private Network icon. This means it is on. Use Firefox as usual, and your online activity will be encrypted and sent through a proxy service provided by our trusted partner Cloudflare.

turning Private Network on

To turn off Private Network, click the icon and toggle the on/off switch in the panel. When Private Network is off, your Firefox activity will route directly to your internet connection. It will not be encrypted or sent through Private Network’s proxy service.

We would also love to hear from you at anytime so we can improve the service.
